A Beautiful 6-Speed Experience

This 1999 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta comes with a very desirable spec, including Argento Nurburgring paint, Challenge grille, fixed roof, and factory carbon fiber racing seats. Its original F1-spec transmission been professionally swapped out for a traditional Ferrari gated 6-speed setup. If it wasn’t for the included build sheet, you’d be hard-pressed to tell the car didn’t leave the factory with three pedals.

The classic low-key color helps the car’s beautiful shape stand on its own legs with no need for searing Rosso or Giallo paint finish. The silver-painted calipers, drilled rotors, and the Challenge grille are all extremely well-chosen.

Carbon back buckets are wonderful too, and everything inside is in great shape, and the original radio has been replaced with a modern Alpine deck.

This is an F1 to 6-speed conversion performed by one of the most respected Ferrari Mechanics in the nation at Blackhorse Motorsports in Los Angeles. Every badge and sign of F1 is gone–what’s left is a 6-speed that drives smoother and better than any ‘original’ 6-speed we have ever driven.

The 3.5 liter, 40-valve Tipo F129 flat-plane crank V8 used in these cars isn’t nearly as special to look at as it is to hear and operate. At 45,135 miles the car can truly be enjoyed. The clutch is 100% after a recent replacement, and includes all service records, books, manuals, pouches, and tools. The 6-speed transmissions are very desirable and are consistently scaling over 100k. This example is a true beauty, fully serviced, and ready to drive.
